At the very beginning of the year we were still in the US and at this stage a stone throw’s away from the Lincoln Memorial as my husband needed to do some work near Washington. Since we named our son after Abraham Lincoln to help inspire him throughout his life of someone who held high principles and standards, naturally we had to go and visit.
The ice was completely frozen on the Reflecting Pool, we were able to walk on it! By time we got back to the car, our faces were so red and starting to chaff!
